What we have done

Orlando, 2008, Ground Transportation for Worldwide Convention for McDonald’s Corporation, 15,000 attendees, 17 hotels, 3 Global general sessions, one opening night reception, one final night gala, VIP & Celebrity transfers, and 12 open night receptions city-wide.  This will be our 11th Worldwide Convention. Chicago, 2006 American Society of Anesthesiologists Convention Shuttle, October, 2007. 17,000 Attendees, 8 routes, 56 Peak Coaches, 6 days, McCormick Place, Chicago, Illinois, pickups and dropoffs in both LakeSide Building and North Building.

San Diego, Ground Transportation for McDonald’s All American High School Basketball Game in San Diego, CA. March 2006

Orlando, Ground Transportation for Worldwide Convention for McDonald’s Corporation, 12,000 attendees, 17 hotels, 3 Global general sessions, one opening night reception, one final night gala, VIP & Celebrity transfers, and 12 open night receptions city-wide.  This was our 10th Worldwide Convention.

1. Convention shuttle - 9 routes, more than 10,000 ridership per day from 14 hotels (3 walk-over hotels), including 100 peak coaches 40 off-peak buses and 45 staff daily; 

2. Full convention move to and from Universal Studios, 200 coaches, 17 hotels, timed to commence at each hotel to have first buses arrive at 7:30 pm, cleared all curbs by 8:00 pm. Event ended at 11:30 pm, and curb was clear at Universal by 12:20 am.  

3. All VIP & Celebrity transportation- arrivals, departures, charters, over 450 individual transportation requests during the week.

4. Set up and managed the ground transportation for 12 off-night events, ranging in size from a 17 passenger minibus taking a group of executives to dinner to a 36 coach shuttle between 17 hotels and Universal City Walk for the company's US division to gather for 4 hours.

5. Concierge Services desk with travel arrangers, restaurant reservations, local information, local ticket sales; 

6. Ushers for General Sessions; 

7. Hotel welcome desk staffing; 

8. Airport greet staffing; 

9. Provided transportation for daily Child-care program tours

New Orleans, Ground transportation management services for 3,500 person Avaya National Sales Meeting. Handled all arrivals over 3 days, all departures over 3 days, multiple hotels, daily shuttle service between hotels & Morial Conv Center, 125 individual VIP transfers.

Phoenix, Ground Transportation for Pharmaceutical group of 100 in Fountain Hills, Arizona, arrivals, departures and one off-site function

Torino, Italy, Ground Transportation for Top Sponsor at the Winter Olympics, Torino, Italy, month of February 2006. Under most stressful conditions, we had people staying in 5 different hotels, 3 spread out in Torino and 2 outside Torino. We transported the folks from those 5 hotels to work in 3 different areas, secure areas which required accreditation for all, and to events, restaurants, entertainment, work, etc for the whole month of February.

2005

Las Vegas, Ground transportation management services for 3 back to back conventions of 5,000-6,000 attendees each held at the Mandalay Bay, TheHotel @ Mandalay Bay, the Luxor, and Paris hotels in Las Vegas in June. Handled 2 days of arrivals and one departure day for each wave, daily shuttles between properties as needed, and in excess of 300 individual VIP transfers over all 3 waves.

Las Vegas, Ground transportation management services for 3,500 person Avaya National Sales Meeting in Las Vegas. Handled all arrivals over 3 days, all departures over 3 days, 3 hotels (Wynn, Mirage, Treasure Island), daily shuttle service between the 3 hotels from 0630 until 2130 hours, 125 individual VIP transfers. Highlight of week, despite having more than half of the attendees at the Mirage and Treasure Island, we moved all of the attendees over to the Wynn on Monday morning for the kickoff General Session, and everyone was in place for the 0800 hours start time.

Chicago, Ground Transportation for McDonald’s top 100 performers worldwide, Chicago O’Hare to/from hotel, and evening gathering. April 2005

Chicago, Ground transportation management services for 1,100 person Pharmaceutical National Sales Meeting at Hyatt O’Hare, including staffing and minibus ground transportation for all personnel arrivals and departures, all VIP arrivals & departures & movement between functions, entertainment celebrity arrivals & departures & to/from performance, arrivals & departures for concurrent 100 attendee Doctor symposium, and movement of all attendees between Hyatt O’Hare and Dave and Buster’s in Addison.  Also handled 5 restaurant dine-around for 150 of attendees. Handled all changes to agenda and also to procedure without flaw.

2004

  • Athens, 2004 Olympics, top sponsor ground transportation in Athens, Greece
  • Gurnee, Corporate family function, electronic request and ticket distribution for approximately 10,000 participants.
  • Orlando, Worked on our 9th McDonald's Corporation 2004 Worldwide Convention. This year it was in Orlando Florida. We developed the plan for and then operated/managed the following:
    • Convention shuttle - 9 routes with 10,000 ridership per day from 12 hotels , including 100 peak coaches 40 off-peak buses and 45 staff daily; 
    • Full convention move to and from The Magic Kingdom, 200 coaches, 12,000 people from 12 hotels, timed to commence at each hotel to have first buses arrive at 7:30 pm, cleared all curbs by 8:00 pm. Event ended at 11:30 pm, and curb was clear at the Magic Kingdom by 12:20 am.  
    • All VIP transportation- arrivals, departures, charters, over 350 individual transportation requests during the week.
    • Set up and managed the ground transportation for 12 off-night events, ranging in size from a 17 passenger minibus taking a group of executives to dinner to a 30 coach shuttle between 12 hotels and Pleasure Island for the company's US division to gather for 4 hours.
    • Concierge Services desk with travel arrangers, restaurant reservations, local information, local ticket sales; 
    • Ushers for General Sessions; 
    • Hotel welcome desk staffing; 
    • Airport greet staffing; 
    • Assisted managing the Childcare program for 200 kids daily
    • When there was an unexpected change in McDonald's leadership, we stopped the shuttle 15 minutes before it started on Monday, then re-started it 4 hours later. On the fly, we accommodated the move of the opening general session from Monday to Tuesday, Tuesday's US general session from Tuesday to Wednesday and the US division's reception move from Tuesday to Wednesday. This meant immediate changes in our daily Peak bus numbers, and our coach supplier was able to make enough of the changes for us that it was relatively unnoticed by the attendee.
  • Orlando, Managed World of Concrete shuttle, Orlando, 54 hotels, 13 routes, ridership around 20,000 a day.

2003

  • Las Vegas, 2003 - 3 waves of arrivals, shuttle to convention center and departures. Each wave of 3,000 to 4,000 participants and 3 days in length. June, 2003 in Las Vegas
  • Olympia Fields, 2003 - handled all ground transportation for corporate sponsor at the US Open, Olympia Fields, IL. June 2003. Utilized fleet of mini-coaches to move attendees between the Wyndham Hotel in Chicago and the Country Club in Olympia Fields. 
  • Cleveland, 003 - handled all transportation (airport arrivals and departures, daily transportation to/from practices, local tours, meals, game) for McDonald's All-American High School Basketball Teams in Cleveland
  • Phoenix, 2003 - Pharmaceutical Company Sales Meeting, 350 attendees, arrivals, departures, dine-around involving 18 different restaurants  

2002

  • 2002 - Salt Lake City, ground transportation and staffing for Olympic Corporate Sponsor
  • 2002 - Las Vegas, ground transportation and staffing for Corporate Worldwide Convention, estimated attendance, 18,000
  • 2002 - Setup, electronic registration of attendees, ticket distribution of 10,000 tickets to attendees
  • 2002 - Transportation management for Awards of Excellence concert held at Arie Crown Theatre, Chicago. Handled transport for 12 celebrities and entourages for all practices and final performances, also for corporate executives and families and honorees. Concert shown on Television in November 2002

2001

  • 2001 - 25 person medical meeting in Jacksonville, arrivals & departures with meet & greet, off-site dining
  • 2001 - 180 person medical meeting in Miami, arrivals & departures with meet & greet, off-site dinners
  • 2001 - Setup, electronic registration of attendees, ticket distribution of 11,700 tickets to attendees, and coordination of return of > 3,000 tickets that were unused due to 09/11/01 with refunds to those returning purchased tickets.
  • 2001 - Coordination of all ground shuttles for trade show in Las Vegas with listed attendance of 73,000

  • 1st Quarter, 2000 - Executive meeting (125 pp) in Las Vegas, ground transportation
  • 1st Quarter, 2000 - 30 person departmental outing in San Francisco, ground transportation, meal functions, accommodations, R & R activities, local tours
  • 2nd Quarter, 2000 - Worldwide convention in Orlando (18,000 pp), meet & greet, convention shuttle, divisional and departmental functions, gala event for all at local attraction, concierge services, child care, development of convention web site
  • 3rd Quarter, 2000 - Corporate Company-wide picnic, registration and entrance ticket distribution
  • 4th Quarter, 2000 - ground transportation and staffing for 3 day Corporate event in Chicago for 400 attendees
  • 4th Quarter, 1999 - 50 person departmental outing for 3 days out of state, provided ground transportation to and from, oversaw all meal functions, hotel accommodations, R & R activities
  • 3rd Quarter, 1999 - 1,500 visitors from over seas to Chicago for a week.  Provided airport meet & greet, airport transfers, local tours on 2 afternoons, transportation to and from a gala black tie event.
  • 2nd Quarter, 1998 - 17,000 attendees to worldwide convention in Orlando, airport meet & greet, convention shuttle, divisional and departmental functions, gala event for all at local attraction, concierge services, child care.
